It has been my honor to have chaired The Lake Cities Education Foundation Golf Tournament from 2002 to 2007. 2007 was my last year to chair the tournament that was renamed The Nicholas Hibberd Memorial Tournament in 2003, after Nicholas was killed in an airplane crash in December 2002.
I have been asked again to stay on as a "Senior Advisor"( I knew what that meant and I still accepted). Just as in 2002 this
tournament is especially important to me. On July 11, 2005 my son, Christopher, was killed at Fort Hood, Texas while flying an Apache helicopter for the U.S. Army in preparation for his unit’s deployment to Iraq. A portion of the proceeds of this year’s tournament will be used to add to the already established scholarship endowments named in honor of Nicholas Hibberd, Louis B Drozd, and CW2 Christopher Chabot Martin.
In addition to the normal sponsorships available on the registration form, we are looking for sponsors to underwrite the tournament or golf carts. If you are interested in one of these sponsorships please contact me so that I may discuss the monies that will be necessary for these sponsorships.
Any participation as a Team or Event Sponsor, Prize or Hole Sponsor, or as a Player would be appreciated greatly.
Sincerely,

Bruce R. Martin, Senior Advisor
Nicholas Hibberd Memorial Tournament 2011
